Speakers

Charles (Chuck) E. Slupski. A polygraph examiner of thirty years, Chuck is an American Polygraph Association recognized examiner and instructor for Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing as well as the Director and Instructor of the American International Institute of Polygraph. Emphasizing quality polygraph basics, Chuck provides a common sense approach to identifying and testing sex offenders.

Tracy Alvord. A licensed counselor since 1992 and a Georgia Department of Corrections approved provider for the treatment of sexual offenders, with extensive involvement in Family and Children Services organizations, Tracey has provided expert witness testimony in domestic violence, substance abuse and sex offender predator cases. Tracey is a Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), a Board Member of Georgia ATSA since 1998, and President January 2011-December 2012.

Course Details

Sex Offenders must first be identified so they can become “POST CONVICTION.” Accordingly, this course includes not only polygraph testing considerations unique to Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing but also Polygraph Theory/Concepts for Pre & Post Conviction Testing; Comparison Question Techniques; Mixing Issues / Crossing Targets; Testing on "fantasy" instead of actual behavior; Administering Sex Offense Suspect Testing; Sex Offenders: Scope of the Problem, Sexual Disorders, Myths about Sex Offenders, Fantasy, Cognitive Distortion, Sex Offender Denial; Victimization and Impact on Polygraph Testing; Pre – In- & Post Test Considerations in Reported Victim Testing; Target Selection, Test Question Construction, and Countermeasures.

False allegations by correctional inmates against staff and internal investigations related to inappropriate sexual behavior allegations can be expedited, saving time and money, by properly administered polygraph examinations.

The training is from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 AM until noon, Friday. Members or applicants for membership in the American Polygraph Association (APA) can take an APA recognition exam at 12:30 PM, Friday.

The primary program speakers will be Charles (Chuck) E. Slupski and Tracy L. Alvord. Chuck is a polygraph examiner of thirty years; an APA recognized examiner and instructor for Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing as well as the Director and Primary Instructor of the American International Institute of Polygraph. Tracy is a licensed counselor with extensive experience dealing with sex offenders in treatment, confinement, risk assessments, and in the courtroom providing expert witness testimony for probation / parole revocations and dealing with high risk offenders. She is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).

The training location will be the main classroom of the AIIP at 619 Highway 138 West, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Lodging is normally available at the Express Inn & Suites by contacting the AIIP. The daily rate is $51.00, plus tax.
