Offender Training

Join us March 16 – March 20, 2026 to further your training. The $600 course will take place at our facility in Peachtree City, GA.

A forty (40) hour course designed to assist the experienced polygraph examiner:

  • In conducting quality specific issue exams for the identification of sex offender
  • In understanding the sex offender and getting confessions
  • In conducting instant offense and sexual history disclosure exams of sex offenders
  • In conducting maintenance and monitoring exams for the treatment and supervision of sex crime offenders

Course Details

Sex Offenders must first be identified so they can become “POST CONVICTION.” Accordingly, this course includes not only polygraph testing considerations unique to Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing but also Polygraph Theory/Concepts for Pre & Post Conviction Testing; Comparison Question Techniques; Mixing Issues / Crossing Targets; Testing on “fantasy” instead of actual behavior; Administering Sex Offense Suspect Testing; Sex Offenders: Scope of the Problem, Sexual Disorders, Myths about Sex Offenders, Fantasy, Cognitive Distortion, Sex Offender Denial; Victimization and Impact on Polygraph Testing; Pre – In- & Post Test Considerations in Reported Victim Testing; Target Selection, Test Question Construction, and Countermeasures.

False allegations by correctional inmates against staff and internal investigations related to inappropriate sexual behavior allegations can be expedited, saving time and money, by properly administered polygraph examinations.

Training Timeframe
The training is from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 AM until noon, Friday. Members or applicants for membership in the American Polygraph Association (APA) can take an APA recognition exam at 12:30 PM, Friday.

Speakers
Sarah T. Keane – Instructor. Ms. Keane is a 2014 graduate of the American International Institute of Polygraph. She is a private Polygraph Examiner, conducting post-conviction sex offender testing for both the Georgia Department of Community Supervision and the US Federal Department of Probation and Parole. She has conducted approximately 1,700 post-conviction sex offender exams and has been a guest lecturer at Kennesaw State University. Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Ms. Keane currently holds the office of Vice President for the GA Polygraph Association and is a member of the American Polygraph Association, the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, and the GA Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.
 
Tracy Alvord – Instructor.  Tracy Alvord, MS, LPC has specialized in the assessment and treatment of sex offenders for over 30 years.  She started with the Sexual Offender Risk Review Board in 2008 as a Clinical Evaluator and has been the Executive Director since 2010. Ms. Alvord has a private practice working with those convicted of sexual offenses. For 20 years she taught Polygraph Psychology for the American International Institute of Polygraph and continues to teach Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT). She has presented for various polygraph associations and law enforcement agencies. Ms. Alvord has contributed to various bills presented to the Georgia House and Senate.
 
Charles (Chuck) E. Slupski. A polygraph examiner of thirty years, Chuck is an American Polygraph Association recognized examiner and instructor for Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing as well as the Director and Instructor of the American International Institute of Polygraph. Emphasizing quality polygraph basics, Chuck provides a common-sense approach to identifying and testing sex offenders.
 
Jennifer Wolfe MizeMS, Instructor for Psychology. Jennifer Wolfe Mize has a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Counseling from Mississippi State University. She practiced as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor for 5 years before becoming a polygraph examiner. She is currently the president of Commercial Polygraph, Inc., in Birmingham, Alabama. Jennifer conducts most types of private polygraph exams, state and federal PCSOT exams, and pre-employment testing for police and fire departments.
