About Our Instructors
Robbie Frederick
Director and Instructor. Robbie is a 2003 graduate of the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute with over 31 years of law enforcement experience. In addition to his polygraph testing and supervision/training of other polygraph examiners, Robbie’s police duties involved supervision of teams targeting illicit drug operations, crime scene investigations, and crisis negotiations, while maintaining a private polygraph business since 2006. He has presented polygraph lectures internationally, has held leadership positions in the Georgia Polygraph Association and the American Polygraph Association, and currently conducts quality control reviews of administered examinations. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of West Georgia and graduate work toward a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology. Robbie is also Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT) certified and has interned other PCSOT examiners.
Charles (Chuck) E. Slupski
Deputy Director and Instructor. A graduate of the US Army Polygraph School and former instructor at the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute, Mr. Slupski has been a polygraph examiner since 1983 and retired from the US Army Criminal Investigations Command in 1996. He conducted polygraph examinations for the Arizona Department of Corrections before taking an instructor position and subsequently becoming the Director of Argenbright International Institute of Polygraph. With the closing of the Argenbright School, Mr. Slupski established the American International Institute of Polygraph. His academic accomplishments include Master of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement. He is a member of the American Polygraph Association, the American Association of Police Polygraphists, the Georgia Polygraph Association, the South African Professional Polygraph Association, and the American Society for Testing and Materials (International), ASTM International committee E-52 on Forensic Psychophysiology. Mr. Slupski is a licensed polygraph examiner in Kentucky and South Carolina.
Sarah T. Keane
Instructor and Instructor of Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT). Ms. Keane is a 2014 graduate of the American International Institute of Polygraph. She is a private Polygraph Examiner, conducting post-conviction sex offender testing for both the Georgia Department of Community Supervision and the US Federal Department of Probation and Parole. She has conducted approximately 1,700 post-conviction sex offender exams and has been a guest lecturer at Kennesaw State University. Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Ms. Keane currently holds the office of Vice President for the GA Polygraph Association and is a member of the American Polygraph Association, the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, and the GA Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.
Joshua Alford
Instructor. Special Agent in Charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Polygraph Unit. Mr. Alford is a 2016 graduate of the American International Institute of Polygraph with over 21 years of law enforcement experience. He provides daily support, quality control, and peer review services for every polygraph exam administered by the GBI. Mr. Alford is also certified in Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT). Other experience by Mr. Alford includes supervising a regional field office that was responsible for responding to requests for assistance from state and local agencies with investigating homicides, robberies, crimes against children, and use of force investigations. He has been a certified Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) instructor since 2012. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University and a Master’s in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University.
Howdy Hayes
Instructor. Mr. Hayes is a 2012 graduate of the American International Institute of Polygraph and is currently a private examiner as President & CEO of Southeastern Resolution Group. Before retirement from the Georgia State Patrol, he served as Assistant Post Commander, a background investigator, and supervisor of special investigations before becoming a polygraph examiner. With certifications in Police Employment Investigations and as a P.O.S.T. Instructor, Mr. Hayes assumed leadership within the Georgia Polygraph Association as Vice President while maintaining membership in the American Polygraph Association. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
Camille Chacon
Instructor. Ms. Chacon started her career in Law Enforcement in 2005 with The City of Las Vegas Police Department in New Mexico. She moved to the State of Georgia in 2008 where she continued her law enforcement career with the Clayton County Police Department. Ms. Chacon’s duties while in law enforcement consisted of General Patrol, Applicant Background Investigation, Internal Affairs Investigation, Airport Drug Interdiction, Field Training Officer, Crisis Intervention Team, and certified General Instruction. Ms. Chacon attended the American International Institute of Polygraph in 2011 where she was trained in administering Pre-Employment, and Criminal/Specific Issue polygraphs. She has received specialized training in Post-Conviction Sex Offender Testing. Ms. Chacon is a graduate of New Mexico Highland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Performance & Sports.
Amanda Aten, LCSW
Instructor for Psychology. Amanda Aten has a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s in Social Work from St. Louis University. She has over 25 years of experience in sex offender research, assessment, and treatment. Her specialty areas include psychosexual evaluations, risk assessment, sexual compulsivity, pornography “addiction” treatment, individual and group treatment, and family reunification.
Ann E. Hall
Instructor for Physiology. Ms. Hall is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and Fire Fighter, specializing in training about physiological aspects of the human body during more than 10 years as a professional strength, conditioning, and health coach with the University of South Carolina, private practice, and in government service with the Clayton County Fire Department. Her academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications; certifications in advanced teaching, fire-fighting, first aid, emergency medical technician, NPQ fire instructor, CPR instructor, and BLS instructor; and a graduate certification in gerontology.
Ronna M. Woodruff, Attorney at Law
Instructor for Law. A private attorney in Georgia, Ms. Woodruff received her Bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude, with honors for outstanding academic achievement every semester, and obtained her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in May 2008. Her professional affiliations include being a member of the US Supreme Court, the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Bar Association. A member of Woodruff Law, LLC, Ms. Woodruff serves as an Adjunct Professor at both Kennesaw State University and the Southern Polytechnic State University.
Tracy L. Alvord, MS, LPC
Instructor for Psychology of Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing. Ms. Alvord has specialized in the assessment and treatment, of those who commit sexual crimes, for over 30 years. Her program also includes addiction treatment, including sexual compulsivity, pornography, and substance abuse. For 20 years she taught Polygraph Psychology for the American International Institute of Polygraph and continues to teach Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT). She has presented for various polygraph associations and law enforcement agencies. Ms. Alvord has been the Executive Director of the Sexual Offender Risk Review (SORRB) for the past 13 years. She has contributed to various bills presented to the Georgia House and Senate.
